Academic leadership

Sreyas places strong emphasis on classroom quality, laboratory work, regular evaluation, and a culture of discipline. The Principal's office works to ensure that these priorities are visible in every department and every student interaction.

The focus remains on high standards, student mentorship, examination integrity, and measurable outcomes in placements, research, and further studies.

Academic history

  • B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering), 1992 — G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
  • M.Tech. (Production Engineering), 2000 — Second Rank Holder, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka.
  • Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering), 2009 — Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Maharashtra.

Experience history

For 26 years, he served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and HoD for 18 years, and as Principal at prestigious colleges for 8 years, bringing extensive experience in research and teaching.

Research & Publications

He has published over 80 papers in peer-reviewed international and national journals. He serves as reviewer for journals including Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, Journal of Thermal Engineering, and Journal of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He is also a life member of ISTE.

Ph.D. guideship

He is a ratified Professor and Principal in colleges affiliated to JNTU, and currently supervises scholars in Polymer Composites, Biocomposites, and Nanocomposites. Recognized as a research supervisor by JNTUH and JNTUA, he has guided two scholars to Ph.D. completion, with one scholar awaiting viva-voce.

Achievements

  • Received an international award with a cash prize of ¥50,000 for a research paper on eco-friendly materials at an international conference in Japan (2005).
  • Co-authored the paper “Effect of Fiber Length and Fiber Weight Ratio on Tensile Properties of Sun Hemp and Palmyra Fiber Reinforced Polyester Composites” (Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, Vol. 25, pp. 1733–1738, 2006), ranked as the second most-read article on the platform during 2007–2008.
  • Achieved Second Rank in M.Tech. at VT University (2000).
  • Received Telugu Vignana Paritoshikam (cash award) from the Government of Andhra Pradesh (1989).
  • Nominated for Young Scientist Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (1987).
